Now the UK’s most sustainable historic building, Edinburgh’s Old High School has been transformed into an award winning, energy efficient hub to foster innovation, joint working and bold forward thinking in the move to a low carbon future. The 19 month, £10.5million refurbishment of this unique 18th century building involved a combination of new technologies, innovative methods, common sense, and attention to detail to create a building that celebrates its heritage and is an exemplar of social, economic and environmental sustainability.
