James A Cuthbertsons was set up in Biggar in 1936 and has developed from being conventional agricultural engineers being at the forefront of the development of equipment for the treatment of winter conditions. Today their workshop uses state of the art technology to manufacture bespoke equipment for gritting and snow clearance while continuing to produce the famous Cuthbertson snow plough.
