Based in Strathpeffer’s Victorian Railway Station, the Highland Museum of Childhood shares the stories of childhood through a treasured collection of toys, books, costumes and vintage household items, and of course, the stories told by the people who previously owned them.
We will host a drop-in open day at the museum, with free entry for everyone. We will work with a local storyteller who will engage visitors in short stories throughout the day. We will be telling stories of Strathpeffer’s Victorian Spa in it’s heyday – the therapeutic spa, the famous Pavilion and links between wellness today and in Victorian times.
