The Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) at the University of Aberdeen is the largest site of biomedical research in Aberdeen. Its scientists and research staff study neuroscience, microbiology, immunology, cell and developmental biology, pharmacology, bone and muscle and more.
In use are state of the art instruments, including cutting edge medical imaging to study the structures and organs of the body as well as innovative microscopy.
There will be bioscience demonstrations, games, activities and exhibits for all the family and every age.
Guided tours of some labs will be at 10.30am, 1.00pm and 2.30pm – these will be for 14 years or older and require to be prebooked.

Guided tours of labs will be at 11.15 am and 2.15 pm. Medical research bingo will be at 1:00 pm. These will be for 14 years or older and require to be prebooked. NOTE though that all other activities are for ALL ages and do not require pre-booking.
