Home to the Perth and Kinross Heritage Trust, we invite you to look behind the scenes into this water driven oatmeal & flour mill which was in use since at least 1715 until the decline of provincial milling in the 1960s.
The functional waterwheel is among the largest in Scotland at 3.7m wide and 4.7m in diameter and visitors will be fascinated to see it in action.
To visit Lower City Mills for Doors Open Days 2021 you must book in advance here.
Whilst we work toward making the mills physically accessible to the public again, why not take a virtual tour of the building and marvel at the machinery preserved within this remarkable gem of Perth’s industrial heritage?Take a 360-degree virtual tour!
