I am a visual artist living and working in Orkney.
The focus of my work has always been drawing and painting Orkney's unique landscape - observing through walking, minuting detail and recording a sense of place. I am responsive to subtle qualities of light, movement within the landscape, alert and sensitive to the lay of the land; the colours, textures and forms, created and reworked by nature.
