Sir John de Graham, Wallace's ally, a veteran of The Battle of Stirling
Bridge, who died at the Battle of Falkirk 1298, lived here. His castle is in the Carron Valley, join us in the first archaeological research into this amazing site. We are offering free training places on metal detection of the Castle and excavation at the contemporary kirk and cemetery.

Key Information

Open 10 - 4pm each day between the 6th and 12th of September 2017. Learn to metal detect: 6th and 7th September. Get your hands dirty, learn to be an archaeologist 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th September. Booking essential for the metal detection, please contact Murray Cook cookm@stirling.gov.uk
