The project aims to provide a community food hub consisting of a bakery, cafe, training kitchen, food store and indoor market. It also aims to provide low cost food and life training for vulnerable people as a sustainable alternative to food banks, whilst reinvigorating Penicuik town centre.
The Storehouse has attracted big investment support from Penicuik and beyond, selling thousands of £25 community shares, and was given a big award from the Scottish Government’s Town Centre Communities Capital Fund.
Tours of the premises as required.
Volunteers have been working hard to open the new venture and visitors will see a new form of social enterprise in the making.
Parking available in the town centre.
