The Royal Edinburgh Community Gardens was established in 2010, and is managed by Cyrenians.
We work with hospital patients, staff, volunteers, visitors and local community groups to grow fruit, vegetables, flowers and herbs, cook food, improve the bio-diversity of the site, and support people on a journey of recovery.
The Growing Space was established in June 2014, as part of the Green Space Art Space initiative which aims to develop the outdoor spaces at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
Guided tours of the Growing Space will be available, led by volunteers, covering the history of the project and covering the existing planting and plans for the future. Information on how to become involved with us, as a volunteer or participant, will also be available. Refreshments will be available as well as a stall offering samples of our produce.
