This is a modern university building which houses the museum collection of the Scottish Branch of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Some 300 items forming the majority of the collection are on display. Many items have Edinburgh connections.

A wide range of items will be on display including some relating to the Forth Bridges, the Stevenson family, a fine collection of surveying instruments and much more. The full catalogue is available on the museum’s website (https://web.sbe.hw.ac.uk/ICE_Museum/).

YOYP: Information to highlight the careers that civil engineering offers to young people.  Young engineers in attendance to help with the event and show visitors around. Information about the learning opportunities at Heriot-Watt University.

Activities:  4 guided tours per day, lasting around 1 hour each and starting at 10:30, 12:00, 13:30 and 3:00PM.  Meeting at the west door of the William Arrol Building, close to Car Park K.
