The General Register Office for Scotland in New Register House holds all the statutory birth, death and marriage registers for events recorded in Scotland from 1855 as well as old parish registers and open Census records. The records are stored in four galleries within the circular dome area, which is over 27m high. Optional escorted tours. http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk.
