Dundee City Archives: Doors Open Day

Door open days

This is an opportunity for you to view selected items from the city's archive collections which are housed in part of the Caird Hall complex. These date from the 14th century to the present day and include maps, plans and photographs, a selection of which will be on display. Staff and members of the Friends of Dundee City Archives will also be on hand to demonstrate the work they are doing to make the records more accessible to the public.

The following talks/workshops (which can be pre-booked on 01382 434494) will also be presented over the course of the day:

10.30-11.30 - Shipbuilding and the Caledon

12.00-1300 - The Street names of Dundee

13.30-14.30 - Dundee schools and education records

14.30-15.30 - Researching the history of your house
