Doors Open Days is now over for 2011.  The event was a huge success thanks to the hard work of many thousands of volunteers and a team of area coordinators representing local authorities, local civic trust, preservation trusts and charities.

Thousands of volunteers are preparing to open up doors ahead of Scotland's largest festival of architecture, history and culture - Doors Open Days.

Area coordinators throughout Scotland have been working hard getting the details of their Doors Open Days finalised, leaflets proofed and printed.  There are already 17 area programmes listed online and many more coming in the next few weeks.

Area coordinators around Scotland are starting to release details of their programmes. North Lanarkshire and Inverclyde are first out the post with their programme listings going live over the next week or so but we have highlights from Glasgow, East Lothian, Edinburgh and Inverclyde too.
