Built around 1840, the Callendar House Kennels building is situated in Callendar Wood, some distance from the big house so that the noise from barking dogs was not a nuisance. Callendar Wood is now cared for by the Forestry Commission Scotland and a series of events, including woodland trails and a kids craft corner, are scheduled for the Doors Open Days weekend.

In 1946, it was purchased by the Boys' Brigade and now houses their Scottish Headquarters and serves as a training, conference and activity centre.

The Dobbie Hall, erected to commemorate the end of the war in South Africa was designed by A.& W. Black Architects of Falkirk. Funded by Major Robert Dobbie, the concert and dance hall, alongside the Larbert Carnegie Library, lay at the heart of the Larbert and Stenhousemuir communities. Many original features remain intact today, including fine tiled floors, the lavish proscenium arch and heavily coffered ceiling in the main hall and original plasterwork in the upper lesser hall.

Built alongside the Dobbie Hall in 1904 and to a design by the same architects, A. & W. Black that complemented the Hall's rich exterior facade, the building that is now known as the Rotary Hall was in fact Larbert's public library. The building still has many original features, with a mosaic floor in the entrance hall and panelled reading room lit by an Italianate window.
