Get behind the scenes of some fascinating buildings in East Fife this September.
This handsome Kirk of 1831 with octagonal clock tower from 1726 replaced an earlier church on the site. Beautiful stained glass by Edward Burn-Jones.
Society members will be on duty to show you around.
The church is the starting off point for guided walks of Elie led by members of Elie & Earlsferry History Society at 12.00, 13.00, 14.00, and 15.00. Walks will last an hour.

The third ecclesiastical structure on this ancient site, sacred since the medieval period, Collessie Church creates a strong landmark in the centre of the picturesque village. Open 12.00 - 5.00 AC3 R - In village hall.

Originally an 18th century agricultural barn this building was used as a village washhouse well into the 20th century. Sensitively restored in 1995 into an art studio.
Displays of art inspired by Pictish culture.

The Priory Doocot, overlooking the sea, is of an early type, possibly built in the 16th century. Its massive walls hold hundreds of nesting boxes.

This museum, housed in two 19th century cottages, gives an insight into local life of this ancient Royal Burgh, its seafaring traditions, 200-year old golf club and WWII airfield history.
Featuring this year two photographic exhibitions, "Wandering with a Camera in Crail" by Erskine Beveridge in the 19th century and "The Harbour in the 20th Century" by George Simpson.

Historic Crail Parish Church dates from 13th century with many later alterations and additions and reflects the history of the Royal Burgh.
The Kirkyard has been described as the "Westminster Abbey" for its famous burials and many fine memorials. Morning Service 11.15am.
