The Tolbooth Steeple was built in 1762 by public subscription and was the meeting place for the town committee and courthouse for the Justice of the Peace, with the lower portion of the steeple used as a gaol.

The building is six storeys high with a tall roof slated in a fish scale pattern. It houses the town clock, and those who climb the steep staircase are rewarded with fine views over Coupar Angus.

Tullibole Castle

Tullibole Castle is a classic example of a 17th-century tower house. The castle has recently undergone a facelift with restoration work to the external finish or harling.

Building Date: 15th - 17th century

In the castle grounds are a historic graveyard and remnants of a ruined medieval church, a 150 yard ‘moat' and doocot. Visit the Witches Maze Memorial for the Crook of Devon Witch Trials, also to be found in the grounds. Located on the B9097 one mile east of Crook of Devon.
