Scottish Borders:  17 September 2011

"Doors Open Day 2011" will take place on the Berwickshire Coast this year and be centred around Eyemouth, Coldingham and St Abbs. The event is being organised by Scottish Borders Council in conjunction with the Gunsgreen House Trust who have recently completed a restoration of the category A listed Gunsgreen House in Eyemouth, which will be open for Doors Open Day and which will serve as the event base. A series of guided walks and details of other buildings which will be open, including the Lifeboat House will be added to the web site shortly. Doors Open Day forms part of the wider "Borders Heritage Week", details of which can be found at www.scottishbordersheritage.co.uk
