Stirling's Doors Open Days coordinator has a long standing relationship with some local volunteers who never fail to boost the local programme offering. This illustrates just one of the ways that you can volunteer to support the delivery of Doors Open Days in your region.
We'd like to extend a huge thanks for their fantastic contributions over several Doors Open Days' years.
My Doors Open Days volunteers are two superstar mums who, along with their children, are happy to take on a building for Doors Open Days, research all about it and show people round or even do a talk and walk for the event.
They have taken part for a number of years now and always put great effort and imagination into presenting the buildings and all their findings from their research. They manage to find interesting information that’s not common knowledge about the area, building, inhabitants or about something that happened in the past.
They add so much value and really help to make Doors Open Days a fun, family-friendly event where you not only get to see inside buildings but you learn something interesting about the building or place at the same time.
