With Doors Open Days just around the corner, we are kicking off August by posting an alphabet of some of the fantastic buildings that will be open next month!
A is for Arbroath Royal Observer Corps Post Museum, open for Doors Open Days in Angus on the 8th and 9th of September.
This underground relic of the Cold War is one of only two refurbished ROC Monitoring Posts open for access in Scotland and includes a collection of original equipment and instrumentation, some of which are demonstrated.
On your visit, you can enjoy a short talk followed by a guided tour. Tours are a minimum 1 hour - maximum 2 hours depending on your interest.
Access is via a 15ft vertical ladder and is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties. Children must be aged 10+ and accompanied by an adult. A surface museum also houses memorabilia and is open to all.
