Broadwood, one of NL Leisure’s larger venues, is a hub of sporting activity and has classes, sports and programmes for all the family. A modern gym houses top of the range resistance and cardiovascular equipment and a spin-fit studio. A multi-purpose hall can cater for a number of sports from badminton to short tennis, with outdoor tennis courts also available. A purpose built dojo is a training hub for local martial arts clubs and our cafés and soft play area offer a family friendly place to relax whilst the kids climb and play. In 2014 Broadwood added a world standard BMX track which is open 7 days a week and welcomes beginners and experts.

A Church of Gothic design with Nave, Gallery, Vestry and Committee Rooms and built of local sandstone, roofed with slate - in 1987 the former Vestry was expanded into storeroom and toilet to make the 'Kirk Room' used for meetings, and an extension was built for kitchen and new toilets, while the smaller Manager's Room was made into the Vestry, and alteration to the Sanctuary, removing choir pews to form useful 'open areas'.  The church also contains 3 light stained glass (actually resin) window in 'dalles de verre' style by Sadie F McLellan. For Doors Open Days there will also be an exhibition of local photos and paintings.

Established in the early 1970s, Palacerigg Country Park has been developed around the objectives of conservation, environmental education and countryside recreation. Palacerigg's animal collection is unique in Central Scotland and provides an opportunity to see many rare breeds in addition to other friendly farm animals. Rare breeds include North Ronaldsay and Boreray sheep, Bagot goats, Tamworth pigs and Scots grey and Scots dumpy poultry. See behind-the-scenes at Palacerigg with tours of the Millennium Longhouses, visits to the animal sick bay, talks on small animals and see how the park looks after and attends to the rare breeds livestock.
