Inverclyde Programme 2018

In total 28 venues, 5 bus tours and 2 walking tours will be open to the public on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September including the newly refurbished Moorfoot Primary School and newly built Glenpark Childrens Centre.

Following the success of last years event the historic and newly refurbished Custom House on Greenock’s waterfront will be open again for tours of the building and the Robert Burns Museum. Completed in 1818 the Grade A listed building has been transformed into high quality office suites in a comprehensive £4.1 million redevelopment.

The Greenock Sheriff Court will reopen to host another fantastic mock trial where children can take on the role of jurors. Thanks to volunteers actors will play the parts of court staff and children can see Dorothy put on trial for stealing ruby slippers.

There will also be wizard of Oz themed arts and crafts in the Tobacco Warehouse so plenty of entertaining activities for children to take part in.

All tours are courtesy of the Inverclyde Tourist Group and people are encouraged to book a space on www.eventbrite.co.uk

Programmes will be available from mid August in local libraries, the council customer service centre and from some of the key venues.
