John Muir's life and work has inspired people all over the world. Discover how the boy born in this house became one of the driving forces behind the global conservation movement. Our absorbing hands-on interpretation centre will take you on the journey of John Muir's life as a pioneering conservationist, explorer, writer, geologist and inventor. Our temporary exhibitions explores his passion for geology and the role this played in his own adventures and discoveries. Our friendly, well informed staff are always on hand to help and answer questions. The building is fully accessible with three floors of family friendly interactive displays complemented by a lively exhibition and events programme.

The National Museum of Flight is home to one of Europe’s best collections of aircraft, including Scotland’s Concorde. Learn about the history of aviation from the First World War to the present day and immerse yourself in our interactive exhibitions, supersonic experiences and historic hangars and original First World War airfield. New for 2018, don’t miss our fantastic Red Arrows Hawk T.1A on display in the Concorde Hangar.
